I love just sitting on my front porch with a hot cup of Joe and take in the scenery. I get to see the leaves change colours and on occasion Monarch Butterflies.
The stunning soft tones of this new Rose Gold Looking Glass Hinged Living Locket® and charms perfectly captures this experience for me.
What fall experience would you capture?
I decided very last minute to celebrate my 2nd year on Patreon with giving a LE giclee ACEO (2.5in x 3.5in) print of "Moonlight Bloom" to my current Patreon members and anyone who joins my Patreon at any tier during this month! Last day to join will be August 31st, 2019 by the end of the day =) (Link on my Profile!) Thank you so much for 2 years of faith, support and encouragement to keep creating art and messages I believe in <3
I'm delayed with some deliveries due to overwhelming myself with lots of projects in the past 6 months but this is something I wanted so much to do!
There will be future Patreon pledges but I'll have lots of fun filling envelopes with a tiny image that means a lot to me <3
Does anyone else have a difficult time comprehending the fact that monarch butterflies can migrate up to 5,000 km?
Erik and I once accidentally brought home a monarch caterpillar on a plant from the farmers’ market. A few days later my plant was completely consumed and the caterpillar was no where to be found. Fast forward to the next spring — I’m standing in the kitchen doing dishes and look over to see a butterfly fluttering along our window screen. We captured it and released it outside, here’s hoping that it survived😌🤞🏼
Monarchs 4 & 5 eclosed and we’re released yesterday, one girl and one boy. Tally is at 4 girls and 1 boy so far. Currently have 14 chrysalises, 4 5th instars, and just started finding the next wave of babies. Oh and my garden is now an official Monarch Waystation! #monarchwatch2019#monarchwaystation#monarchbutterfly#monarchs
I love butterflies. I have milkweed in my gardens to help feed them and then I noticed one day 2 adults flying around. I noticed 2 hanging in my crab apple tree. Such a beautiful part of wildlife. Monarch butterflies .

It’s the butterfly gown! I actually think this dress was really pretty in its own right, even without the gimmicky transformation. I get asked about this dress more than any other, and even though I understand why, this dress isn’t my favorite. I’ve made a lot of things since this dress that I love so much more! I think this dress has a lot of heart to it. I can’t believe it’s been only two and a half years since I made it; I feel like I’ve grown a lot since then. It’s the first thing I made that was really conceptual in nature and deviated ALOT from a standard commercial pattern. Even though this dress is cool, there are dresses I’ve made that are prettier, or more dynamic, or more clever, or more conceptual, or more technical et cetera, it this one will always have a special place in my heart. #transforminggown#transformingdress#butterfly#monarchbutterfly#costume#veniceissinking#masqueradeball#masquerade#costumedesign#coetume#halloween

#didyouknow Butterfly wings are actually clear — the colors and patterns we see are made by the reflection of the tiny scales covering them ! ☀️
