It was HOT out today!!!!! I was so blessed to at mile 9 find a water cooler with cold water set out at the curb in front of United Methodist Church (127thish & Quivira). That water got me from mile 9 to mile 12. I literally was debating if I should call the run early. I was justifying it in my head. “It’s stupid to be out here in this heat.” “Listen to your body.” “You can pick up the extra miles some other time this week.” I can’t express how much thought went into this run. Should I run early? Should I run later? If I run early, that means setting the alarm for 3:45am. Thats cool. But what about SLEEP!!! I don’t want to always run on empty. I don’t think running at that time is sustainable. I’m trying to create a running routine that is sustainable. If I run late at like 8:15am, I’m not holding the same “work” schedule as everyone else. I will get behind in my work.
To be honest, I’ve been struggling where to fit my running into my Fall schedule. In the past running has always been squeezed out of the schedule as my stress level increased. Yet. Running is what keeps my mind, body, and spirit balanced. I call it my “meeting time with me.” I finally made the decision that on this run that for me to be anything to myself and anyone else, I need to decide what is best for ME. So….drum roll ya’ll. I’m valuing SLEEP and running later. I need good sleep for ME. I feel, think, and act so much better when I get sleep. To really confirm my decision I needed to decide that my priority is 1.) Sleep 2.) Nutrition 3.) Running. In that order. I feel so much better making this decision. For over one year now, I have had the pleasure to play music at Fiddlehead Fern Cafe on Saturday’s. I have watched Darcy and her kind and gracious staff grow the cafe into a gathering space for community that is inclusive for all people, making adjustments to accommodate growth and other needs as they become necessary. I have been honored to be part of the community and family at Fiddlehead. Darcy’s vision is truly unique. She has such an eye for design and aesthetic that allows the natural beauty of the urban surroundings shine through. Her cafe is welcoming, the food is prepared with care and love for the people about to enjoy it, she is always striving to be more environmentally responsible, and she is a HUGE supporter of the local music and art community. I’m no influencer, but I am doing my part in showing some love where it is deserved. Thank you, Darcy and Fiddlehead Fern for being such a lovely space for me to share my music. I have grown as a musician and made lasting connections and friendships as a result of your generosity. I look forward to all that is to come in the future ❤️🌱 .

In January 2017, we came together to form a small university team. Under the guidance of a determined coach with a relentless belief in every single one of us, we expanded and took part in the only women's competitive league in #Dubai in the #UAE.

Exciting things are arriving in September!
Following our successful Building the Future and Designing the Future events earlier this year, we're feeling re-invigorated with new volunteers and tons of ideas for Sunday Assembly London's future. But now we need to test them!
From September to December 2019, we'll be running Sunday Assembly Labs, where we'll be trying new ideas at every Assembly. Everything's up for grabs, from the order we run our Sunday events to how we engage with the wider community. At the end of every Assembly, you'll be able to give your feedback on what you thought, and we'll feed that into the next Assembly in the run-up to the end of the year.
We'd love to see you there - Sunday Assembly London *is* the community, and we can't do what we do without your energy and enthusiasm. It doesn't matter whether you're giving your time every week or dancing to our Sunday sing-a-long chorus, everyone's valued and you all have a voice!

The second I got onto the Deerfield’s property, I instantly felt a massive weight lifted off my shoulders. @solastafestival thank you guys so much for all the energy and love you put into making this festival what it is! This was a great reminder to myself that community is so very important. Its so easy to get caught up in what is immediately around you every day. My heart was hurting and now I am feeling so much love and support from all around! I was unable to snap many photos or videos because the music was just tooooooo goood and I could not stop dancing!

“Everything I need is already within me.” Today I need this reminder more than ever. Anyone else hella emotional or is this just who I am?! 🤣😅 I’ve been feeling like I’m in a funk and I wanted to share how I plan on tackling this wave of emotions. Intuitively I know that my space is causing stagnant energy — I love my home but I need to rearrange my furniture/deco until I feel inspired again. Cleaning out my closet, again. I have so many things + stick to the same pieces. 🙄 I need to also journal all these emotions I’m feeling so that instead of judging myself, I can understand where they’re coming from/what’s causing them. Next, make working out a priority as it truly helps me feel empowered + I get the best ideas. Lastly, reevaluate my goals, both personally + professionally. Please understand that we are all a work in progress. We always have the answers within — we always know. You can’t lose when you keep showing up. Keep showing up! Just showing up provides more of an impact than you realize. It’s easy to believe you don’t belong or fit into a setting when you don’t see others like you. Doubt enters your mind and then confidence dwindles.
You belong anywhere your heart desires. Don’t be afraid to break old molds of what sport has looked like. Create new representations of what it should look like and inspire others to join you in reshaping old definitions.
