We hope you will meet us at East Park in Charlevoix this Sunday, July 21st for #WorshipontheWater!
Worship begins at 7pm with Ted Polleys and the Community Reformed Church, followed by Colton Dixon!
See you there!
Are you looking for something to do with your friends or guests this week—rain 💦or shine ☀️? We’re booking tours this week for Thursday and Friday in Petoskey. Saturday we will not have a tour because we will be enjoying Petoskey Art in the Park with everyone else in town! 🖼⠀
If you do want to plan a tour, please do so 24 hours in advance (our website cuts off bookings after that). We do this in order to give our restaurant partners a heads up about how many guests we will be bringing and what they should prepare for you. ⠀
We’d love to have you join us for a guided tour of six locales! Thursday’s weather looks a tad iffy—but we supply the umbrellas if it does rain 🌂☂️☔️ and Friday’s weather looks sunny and warm! 🌤🌤🌤⠀
If you are interested in Charlevoix tours, this is also your week to book, because we will take a week off next week for Venetian. So grab some friends, pick a date, and we will see you soon! ⠀Photo by @vbh_photography ⠀
Beautiful sunsets on Lake Michigan. We found quite a few Petoskey stones so far! #visitcharlevoix

I’ve spent this past week exploring Northern Michigan with @puremichigan and the coolest group of girls I’ve ever met through Instagram - you can see some fun BTS on my story 💕
Our first stop was Charlevoix, which is a quaint lil’ coastal town complete with a neighborhood full of mushroom houses! 🍄 This one was designed in 1918 and sleeps up to 12 people, which is hard to believe until you see the whole 3rd floor (complete with a wine cellar!) built underground 💯

The theme of our trip to Michigan this week is “odd lodging” or L’odd’ging, if you will. 🏡 The coastal city of Charlevoix is home to several historic mushroom style houses both big and small. We spent the evening in an original mushroom house that has been renovated and reimagined - complete with several cozy fireplaces and enough beds to sleep up to 14 people. 💙The hobbit-style home was designed by famous architect Earl Young in 1918 and boasts a thatch roof that was made in Europe before it was sent straight to the US to be installed here. 🌿 It might not have been Middle Earth but it sure felt like the closest we could get to it in real life!
Ps: my top is a recent @zara find & I’ve linked a few lookalikes to it + the rest of my look via the @liketoknow.it app ❤️ http://liketk.it/2CuPN #liketkit#puremichigan#visitcharlevoix#mushroomhouses#upnorth#travelstyle
Hey everyone! Sorry to be MIA - I’ve been at Glastonbury Festival in England the last 5 days (the best festival on the planet by a mile) so I wasn’t able to post. Tune in later because I’m going to post all my highlights from the festival on my Stories once I’ve arrived in London! But for now, we’re back to our regularly scheduled programming, and I can continue to share my Michigan photos with you! 😜
First up, here’s @castlefarms in @visit_charlevoix. This place has such an interesting history - it was originally a working model farm that was used to demonstrate products from the Sears catalog in the early 1900s! Nowadays, you can tour the building and grounds and learn about the history, and they host a lot of weddings. It was definitely an unexpected find for me in Northern Michigan! @puremichigan#puremichigan#visitcharlevoix #RSJSinMichigan
Hello from North Michigan! I just spent a week exploring throughout the region with @puremichigan and I can’t wait to show y’all everything we did! 😍 First up: we all stayed in this amazing rental property called The Thatch House in @visit_charlevoix. All up and down the street are mushroom houses designed by Earl Young. They’re so cool! Like hobbit homes 🤓 Staying at The Thatch House was amazing. It has been redone so it’s very modern on the inside, and the place is huge - its 3 floors held our whole group and then some! If I was ever back in Charlevoix I’d definitely want to stay here again for longer, or try one of the other mushroom houses that is available for rental with @mushroomhouserentals. What’s the weirdest place you’ve ever stayed in? I’m always curious to hear about other unique lodgings around the world! #puremichigan#visitcharlevoix #RSJSinMichigan
“She had a lively, playful disposition that delighted in anything ridiculous.” -
Jane Austen. 💙 If you call dressing in an outfit similar to something from the Austen-era because you’re visiting a castle ridiculous, then YES - bring on all things ridiculous!
Castle Farms in Northern Michigan might not have been anything like Darcy’s Pemberley but I’m sure it’s just as lovely! 🏰 😍This restored American castle hosts a number of family friendly activities each & everyday. From fairy garden making for the kiddos 🧚🏻♀️ to nature tours 🌿, an interactive museum in the castle’s history & more, you won’t run out of things to do during a visit! #puremichigan#castlefarms#visitcharlevoix#austenland#dametraveler#travelstyle
