When you're feeling busy and pulled in a hundred directions with a to-do list a mile long and a feeling of unrest in your soul, it's time to honestly reevaluate your schedule.
Here are a few things you can do to quiet your spirit:
1. Set healthy boundaries. This means you consider other people, but that you also consider yourself.
2. Wisely use the time when your hands are busy but your mind isn't. Driving, cooking, and cleaning are great opportunities to listen to audio books, podcasts, the Bible, or just to think.
3. Consider whether you're spending time or investing time. For example, I rarely mop my floors because I know they're just going to get dirty again and shiny floors aren't a priority for me. To me, mopping is time spent (although, I know to some people, mopping is an investment into their hospitality style!). Helping my child fix her hurt feelings or scraped knees is time invested.
4. Silence the busy, unnecessary noise. Phones, television, computer... the constant noise can make our minds feel incredibly cluttered. Take a few hours a day or one day a week to leave the phone on its charger so you can stay unplugged.
5. Make a priority list. Only include the top 5-7 priorities in your life right now. Minimize or outsource everything else.
6. Remember that peacefulness is a state of mind. Our schedule does not get to be the boss of our feelings.
7. Leave the to-do list unfinished. We should absolutely work hard and do our best, but if we wait until everything is under control before we relax, we'll never rest. We have to learn to let some things go unfinished for a time!

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." John 14:27 ESV
"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 ESV

Yes, we all have different lives & different responsibilities,however, we ALL deep down desire to be the BEST version of ourselves. You can't be the BEST version of YOU if YOU don't take care of YOU! REALITY, no one IS or CAN do it for you!
Self-care is not selfish the contrary is! Blow off self-care & you will soon become miserable, a downer, a eye soar, a burden, a crappy friend, a crappy parent, unhealthy etc.!
So why is it so difficult for us to be the best version of ourselves?
Why do we self sabotage? That’s a question that needs to be individually answered. Let’s address “what to do” to conquer this life issue we “all” face. If we conquer it, we fix it! Answer for ALL= simply develop overtime, small, positive daily rituals; that's it! No need to daily run 15 miles, lift weights for 6 hours while living off of lettuce, & spending a fortune on a shrink.
Positive rituals don’t have to take long & be overly demanding. Small changes done daily are truly the game changers!
It’s about the compound effect; positive small actions performed daily, overtime, give you lifelong results!
NO excuses that you’re too fat, too old, too young, too broke, too busy, it’s to late, whatever!
Pull up your panties & get your shit together!You owe it to you! You owe it to the higher being that created you so you would contribute to this world by sharing your awesomeness! You are powerful, more powerful than you can ever even imagine!
