Now that art fairs have started, my weeks have become about restocking instead of creating. However, I made time today to work on finishing a new piece I’m calling Little Traverse Lake. This piece is extra special to me as it shows an important symbol in my family, a red and white sunfish sailboat. The landscape is that of Sugarloaf, found in the Leelanau Peninsula where my family has had a cabin for over 75 years. My grandpa had a red and white sunfish while I was growing up, and while sailing isn’t exactly my favorite activity (flipped over too many times as a kid😬) it remains something important to me. I will have this new piece with me this weekend at Kensington Metropark for the Art Fair! I hope to see many of you there, and maybe a sailboat or two 🤔⛵️✨
these two made all my Michigan beach dreams come true and I actually cannot handle it😭🧡

The vote is in! Voted Northern Michigan best wedding florist (Traverse Magazine, Red Hot Best) we love what we do! Way to go team!
After months off from shooting to spend time with my daughter who was born in December, I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to spend my first day back shooting weddings with. It felt so good to be back behind my camera doing what I love and I can’t wait to celebrate with all my couples this year. It’s going to be so, so good!
We're currently on our way back to Chicago! Our trip up north was much needed and refreshing. 😎 Really great spending time with the family. ❤
We mostly cooked at home but we did indulge a bit at @thelittlefleet !😝
We didn't catch any live music this time around and while we were waiting for Michigan weather to cooperate, it was nice that we could relax in the indoor space. 👍👐
This pet friendly bar and food truck haven is one of our favorite hangouts in Traverse City! The food and drink options are plentiful. 🍻 From burgers and cocktails to tacos, falafel, mocktails, and baos, there's something for everyone! There's also tons of local beer and wine to get a taste of the region.
Here's some of our favorite bites and sips!
