Hazy wanderings through truck stop aisles while checking out the selection of energy drinks, listening to George Michael singing that he doesn’t want my freedom or to let me down. Do I trust truck stop grapes or boiled eggs. Will a truck stop hot dog with a taco sauce packet and mustard kill me? Ride on. #truckstopmemories#flyingj#truckstopfood#roadtripping2019#rideon
You all are probably 🛏sleeping and will catch this selfie when you wake up. We made it to our first stop.
A TRUCK STOP🛑- So I did what any 《Mother Trucking》 wife would do. I took a hot 🚿shower at a truck stop. 🤔Did you know that my husband is a professional driver? Not like NASCAR
Yep, and for the last five 🖐years we have owned a trucking company. We started with one truck then two and now this Haitian-American family is part of what Makes America Great... OPPORTUNITY
We have the opportunity to work, to create a future for our family and even employ others so they can provide for their families. Entrepreneurship is more😍 significant than we thought it would be.
Owning a trucking company is a big deal and has gotten us far, but it isn't easy. That's why we are both on vacation from our trucking business for the next week📆. We are using this time to learn more about another business opportunity in the health and wellness space.
Note: I have been in NWM for two years. So, the #DorvalsVegasDrive is not happening because this opportunity is easy, it is EASIER. I have learned it is easier than you think adding it to any wheelhouse. It is an easier stream of residual income. It's an easier investment to start the business. And the time it takes to run it is easier.
What does all that have to do with this truckstop shower selfie⁉️ Well, this is what my hubby does for 2 to 3 weeks out of the month. He drives across the country and has to shower at truck stops.
Now, if you see us with anything🏡, know that it was not handed to us, we work hard. We hustle night and day. We sacrifice a lot of comforts. And I am often left alone with the kiddos wondering where he is and praying he makes it back home safely.
So, this Truckstop shower selfie🤳🏾 is dedicated to all the mommas holding it down while daddy is away working. This trip/ #RoselynesVegasRumble is part of a bigger mission to empower women to see the opportunity to add to the finances without sacrificing family. And yes we have the opportunity to bring our hubby's home more often.
SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY PLEASE. Thank you #management#trucking#pilot#flyingj#trucklife
Day 18 June 19th Part 2
After Mount Rushmoore we drove to Americas first National Monument can any body guess what it is?
Devils Tower National Monument in Wyoming. We walked the 1.3 miles around the base of Devils Tower. We even got to see the remnants of the wooden ladder used to climb to the top in the 1800s. After seeing the monument we dove to a rest area for dinner and then decided to try and shower at a Flying J truck stop. When we got there and found out they cost 12$ per shower, so we decided we don't stink that bad. And decided to sleep in the parking lot till tomorrow.
How do you stay clean on the road?
My gas gauge is broken and I’m still getting used to how massive this fuel tank is because I’m filling up based on mileage instead of a gauge. 🚌
I’ve driven 750 miles on this tank now, and “only” needed 83 gallons of fuel. It’s got a 265 gallon diesel tank, people! 😳
To put it into perspective, if you had a 17 gallon tank in your car, why would you stop to fill up every time to just add 5 gallons? 🤔
You wouldn’t, right? I’d imagine that most people who have a 17 gallon fuel tank often fill up and put 14 gallons of fuel in, essentially adding gas when you’re at 20% fuel remaining if you’re not pushing it. 🤷🏼♂️
My fuel tank is roughly 16x the size of the average auto gas tank today. If I follow that same logic, my next fill up will be in 1,750 miles for 218 gallons and will cost me about $750! 💰
My head is spinning. I think I’m going to switch to biodiesel. 🌍 .
And we’re getting a whopping 7 miles to the gallon. And this is where I have to ride when I talk too much.....
