I have to admit, I'd almost started to believe that this jacket would only ever have one year embroidered on the sleeve. Some may see those numbers- 2014 and 2019, and they might think, "wow she must've lost it there for a second. She must not have been that good," but for me, seeing those two numbers right next to each other represents an incredible journey. In 2014 I was on top of my game- all that mattered was dancing and at 16, I never could have imagined the obstacles I'd face in the coming years that would test not only my physical ability, but also my very love for dance --something that had been so engrained in me since childhood, I didnt even know it was there to be tested. I dont talk about it very much on this account, but after regionals in 2017, I was ready to make my peace with dancing and move on to the next thing. I had begun to accept that I was past my prime and that my love for the sport had simply faded enough that it didnt matter to me anymore. It took a lot of searching and a lot of help from my friends to realize that I was far from done. The path to reclaiming my love for dance hasnt been an easy one, but if theres one thing I know for sure its that my love for this sport has never been stronger. 2014 and 2019. Some may see a dancer who lost her touch for a while. I see a dancer who has fought for so much more than just placings these last 5 years, and those numbers embroidered on her jacket are proof of her endless love for what she does.

Here are a few healthy summer drink options for you to choose from-
Coconut Water with chia seeds:
Coconut water is the ultimate in rehydrating beverages. Coconut water can replace fluids after exercise and is a rich source of a variety of nutrients, especially the electrolytes potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, as well as Vitamin C, some B vitamins and antioxidants.
As for the chia seeds- they are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, rich in antioxidants, and they provide fiber, iron, and calcium. Omega-3 fatty acids help raise HDL cholesterol, the "good" cholesterol that protects against heart attack and stroke.
Water with sugar free sweetener and rock salt:
While plain water is always a good option, when mixed with rock salt and a sugar free sweetener it makes for a tasty and effective electrolyte drink to keep you hydrated and healthy! Rock salt plays an important role in replenishing the body’s electrolytes and maintaining the pH balance. It also stimulates blood circulation and can also be used to relieve muscle cramps!

This #flexfriday is coming with a change of scenery 💪. The gym I usually go to is closed at the moment due to tornado damage from Wednesday night. Pretty crazy stuff! My coach @evansnorgrass added some cardio in this week, so maybe we’ll shave off a little of the “lean fluff” I’ve gained 😂🧐

as the weather cools down this is a winters dream breakfast✨creamy oats with lashings of honey, fresh fruits and raisins 🤤
OATS are a fantastic source of fiber and are a slow digesting carbohydrate to keep you feeling fuller for longer to give you that feeling of ‘steady energy’ which makes these babies the peeeerfect brekky food to see you through till lunch time 🙌🏼 i also sometimes like to stir through hemp and chia seeds for added omega 3’s which are extremely important when following a plant based diet! And in most my oat bowls i stir through @superfeast tremella because it adds the most INSANE malty caramelly flavour (it literally tastes like cereal milk) and is amazing for your skin and cellular hydration, digestion and is high in antioxidants ⚡️ I topped this bowl with raisins and cacao nibs from @nutsaboutlifeaustralia (this is currently where im getting all my nuts, seeds and ‘bowl toppings’ from), fresh banana, apple and of course @beepoweraustralia raw honey because its the most amazing flavoured unheated honey and what is a bowl of dreamy oats without lashings of honey?! 🍯 i often make this the night before so its ready to go in the morning so that leaves one less thing to do when i wake up 😂 and you can eat it cold or warm it up for a couple of minutes on those extra chilly mornings... melbournians they are coming 😭❄️ .
This is the definition of a BALANCED brekky (or lunch!) and will keep your tummy verrrry happy🥰
